Battery Capacity Tester (BCT)

The BaSyTec Battery Capacity Tester is a compact and portable, simple to use test equipment for service applications. A continuous power of 150W (200W / 400W / 600W), a maximum current of 10A (12A / 24A / 32A) and a voltage range of 2 - 30V (as option up to 45V) are the key parameters and makes the BCT an ideal test equipment for all types of batteries, also power tool batteries.

| Principle |

The BaSyTec Battery Capacity Tester is used for measuring the capacity of NiCd, NiMH, lead-acid and Li-ion batteries with a nominal voltage between 0.8 and 30 V. For a capacity test, a fully charged battery is discharged with a selectable constant current until the end of discharge voltage is reached. All relevant data is measured and displayed. Optionally the BCT 2003 windows software is available for graphical data analysing and reporting.
A temperature sensore that is in the battery integrated (for example powertool batteries) is read by the BCT during the battery test. Batteries that are coded by this temperature sensor are automatically detected by the BCT.

The BaSyTec Battery Capacity Tester is a simple to use device. It is mainly optimized for service applications. The user interface consists of 6 buttons and a 2 lines lcd display (back lighted). For operation there is no expert knowledge necessary.
After selection of the battery type, the rated voltage, the rated capacity , and the discharge current, the test starts with simply pressing the start button.
